Meet the Founder and Team Behind MÙSH DNA

MÙSH DNA was created with a clear intention: to develop a functional food that is both scientifically grounded and sensorially refined.

At the center of this vision is Liga Zemture. With a background in fashion, creative direction, and editorial leadership, she has spent years working in a fast-paced international environment, balancing intensity, travel, and constant performance. This experience led her to focus more deeply on preventive wellbeing and sustainable ways to support the body on a daily basis. 

One of the key areas of interest for Līga has been the gut microbiome. Scientific research indicates that a substantial proportion of the body’s immune system is associated with the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT), making the gastrointestinal tract a key component in immune regulation and overall health. At the same time, this interest is also personal, she has experienced how Pleurotus eryngii-based products can support digestion and help reduce bloating when used consistently.

MÙSH DNA reflects this direction: a composition built around Pleurotus eryngii, developed to support microbiome balance, immune function, and overall physiological stability, while maintaining a refined taste experience.

The project is developed together with Ugis Zemturis, founder of IMPERIA ORGANIC. With over 25 years of experience across international banking, fintech, and corporate strategy, Uģis brings a structured and analytical approach to innovation. He is a graduate of INSEAD and has worked on large-scale transformation projects in collaboration with global firms including McKinsey & Company, BCG, and Bain.

At IMPERIA ORGANIC, his focus has been on building an integrated system that combines biopharmacy, biotechnology, and controlled cultivation. This approach allows full control over the process — from growing Pleurotus eryngii to developing the final product.
